The American company Eagle Nest Outfitters, ENO for short, was founded in 1999 in Florida. Its founders initially planned to drive around music festivals in a small van and sell their hammocks to visitors. The growth of what was at first a small business that fit into a few boxes spelled the end of the nomadic life. The company settled in Asheville, North Carolina, where it now exports its products around the world. It is no longer just hammocks, but also clamping systems, shelters, mosquito nets, insulation underquilts and other accessories.
