The latest generation of Defy Advanced models is designed to be unrivalled in its class in the endurance road bike category. It's the perfect choice for those really long rides or gran fondo races you have on your calendar. The precision-engineered carbon frame and purpose-built components mitigate bumps and minimize fatigue.

The frameset is designed and engineered to provide perfect bike handling while being one of the lightest in its category. Striking the perfect balance between high-performance responsiveness and all-day comfort, it delivers - true to the motto "less is more" - the ultimate endurance road riding experience.

Advanced Composite Technology
In our in-house carbon processing factory, we use premium raw carbon with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio to produce custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and mold cured as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a patented manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Giant Tubeless System
 Fewer flats. Better tire grip. Less rolling resistance, more comfortable and faster ride. With Giant's tubeless system, you can enjoy all these benefits. The rims come with tubeless tape and valves from the factory, so all you have to do is apply sealant and your wheels are fully ready for tubeless.

D-Fuse Saddle
 The D-Fuse saddle is designed to dampen vibration and absorb shock from the riding surface to make the ride more comfortable. This works by making the seatpost slightly springy under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.

OverDrive Aero
A D-shaped fork post runs through the head tube of the new Propel frame. Together with shape-matching spacers, they form an extremely aerodynamic and easy-to-service system of internally routed brake lines and shift bowden.

Compact Road Design
When Giant introduced the Compact Road design in the 1990s, it changed the look and feel of performance road bikes forever. The angled lowered top frame tube (from head tube to seat tube) creates a smaller front, and subsequently rear, frame triangle, achieving a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders with different proportions to achieve the ideal seating position.

The Advanced Composite carbon frame is specifically designed for endurance riding and provides a smooth and efficient ride quality that minimizes fatigue, even on very long rides. The D-Fuse components work together to further dampen road bumps and vibrations.

The Contact D-Fuse handlebars feature ergonomic shaping for added comfort and an 8-degree side bend for improved handling. The wide aluminum rims are optimized for wide tubeless tires (up to 38 mm) and provide predictable handling and stability on a variety of surface types, from asphalt to cobblestones.
