SG2 tire protection will provide excellent puncture and puncture protection in addition to light weight. Such tires have a high 120 TPI value - or threads per inch - which represents the density of fibers in the carcass of the tire. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon liner that covers the entire surface of the tire from bead to bead.
How much more durable are the new SG2 tires? Lab tests show that the addition of SG2 provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tires without SG2.
