The DH version of the Maxxis Shorty is the clear favourite of our riders at the World Cup. The single ply version offers riders the same traction on the track in a much lighter package. All trail versions of the Shorty feature tubeless use and 3C MaxxTerra compound material. EXO side protection is available as an option for each size.
Open, medium tread, ideal for dry and very unstable terrain, but also capable in the wet and on mud. The Shorty is much more versatile than the Wetscream Mud Crusher. The high and slightly angled side lugs easily penetrate loose ground, creating a stable and predictable high speed performance. The centre section of the tread is made up of square and rectangular lugs and has great braking characteristics and excellent self-cleaning ability.
