In addition to its light weight,SG2 tire protection provides excellent puncture and puncture protection. Such tyres have a high value of 120 TPI - or threads per inch, which expresses the density of fibres in the tyre carcass. This new protective layer is lightweight and contains an ultra-thin nylon liner that covers the entire surface of the tire from bead to bead.
How much more durable are the new tyres with SG2? Lab tests show that the addition of SG2 provides 33% better sidewall protection and 17% better tread protection than standard 60 TPI tires without SG2.
