The Varianta LA or light action differs from the standard version with an extended lever that reduces the effort required. Whether you want super-fine precision, your seatpost requires more force on the lever to open as standard, you have weak or injured fingers and/or a delicate lady's hand, this lever can solve it all.
In addition, the paddle's contoured surface won't let your finger slip even if it rains silicone. This lever is definitely not one of the cheapest, so saving it in a fall has been thought of. The low profile coupled with a crash/crash friendly design means that only the link bolt will break off and not the whole lever and much more.
