The history of the Mitas brand dates back to the 1930s, when tyres were first produced in Prague, Zlín and later in Otrokovice.
In 2016, Mitas became part of the Trelleborg Group. Today, Mitas tyres are manufactured in plants located in three European countries, Sri Lanka and one production facility in America. The newest European production plant in Otrokovice started operations in 2013.
Radial tyres for the most powerful agricultural machinery are produced here. Another major milestone was the opening of a production plant in the USA, where Mitas radial and agricultural tyres began production in 2012. The manufacturing plant is located right in the heart of the US farm industry and in an area where many agricultural equipment manufacturers operate. The huge US market with its high demands offers strong potential for the Mitas brand.
