The Apollo runs on either an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery or standard alkaline batteries. The lantern can also charge your electronics via an external USB port. The redesigned case has a folding double-hook loop for hanging from a tent or tree, as well as folding legs for standing on a table.

The strobe and dimming modes then allow for different lighting styles. A display on the lantern measures the charge of the alkaline and internal rechargeable battery.
