FENIX HM70R - rechargeable headlamp

The Fenix HM70R is an extremely powerful rechargeable headlamp that offers a light output of up to 1600 lumens. Included in the package is a rechargeable Li-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. The headlamp is equipped with multiple light sources, and the remote reflector houses a Luminus SST-40 LED that reaches up to 186 meters.

The second wide reflector is fitted with a 400 lumen Cree XP-G2 HE LED with a warmer tint (neutral white), which has a very wide and smooth light path. The headlamp also features a red light with an output of 5 lumens. With this colour, it is able to shine on the lowest mode for almost 17 days and can flash continuously for over 33 days.

The lightweight aluminium alloy construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 metres underwater. Use
From the factory, there may be a white insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used high beam mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used wide beam mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
- With the headlamp switched on, switch off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- With the headlamp switched on, switch between remote and wide reflector mode by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to start both reflectors at the same time.
While the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through with short button presses in the order 30 - 150 - 500 - 1600 lumens (when the main headlamp is switched on) or red 5 lumens - white 30 lumens - white 400 lumens - red flashing (when the wide headlamp is switched on). The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (applies to both reflectors).
Battery charge indication: After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery charge indicator in the button is activated. Green light indicates that the battery is 85-100% charged, flashing green light 50-85%, flashing red light 25-50%, flashing red light less than 25%.
Lock the headlamp against unwanted switching on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp switched off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
Overheat protection. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Discharged Battery Warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to illuminate until the battery is completely depleted. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries only.

Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp and the other end into a USB connector on your computer, USB AC adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. The side button glows red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging time for a fully discharged battery takes approximately 4 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
