The Fenix HM70R is an extremely powerful rechargeable headlamp that offers a light output of up to 1600 lumens. Included in the package is a rechargeable Li-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. The headlamp is equipped with multiple light sources, the remote reflector houses a Luminus SST-40 LED that reaches up to 186 meters.

The second wide reflector is fitted with a 400 lumen Cree XP-G2 HE LED with a warmer tint (neutral white), which has a very wide and smooth light path. The headlamp also features a red light with an output of 5 lumens. With this colour, it is able to shine on the lowest mode for almost 17 days and can flash continuously for over 33 days.

The lightweight aluminium alloy construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 metres underwater. Usage
There may be a white insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used wide reflector mode by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used wide reflector mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
A headlamp that is on is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is on, the headlamp can be switched between remote and wide reflector modes by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to start both reflectors at the same time.
When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through in the order 30 - 150 - 500 - 1600 lumens (when the main beam is switched on) or red 5 lumens - white 30 lumens - white 400 lumens - red flashing (when the wide beam is switched on) by briefly pressing the button. The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (applies to both reflectors).
Battery indication: after a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery indicator in the button is activated. A green light indicates that the battery is 85-100% charged, flashing green light 50-85%, flashing red light 25-50%, flashing red light less than 25%.
Locking the headlamp against unwanted switching on: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp switched off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
Overheat protection: if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65°C it will automatically start to reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilises. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to illuminate until the battery is completely drained. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries only.

Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp and the other end into a USB connector on your computer, AC adapter, or car USB adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. The side button glows red while charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging time for a fully discharged battery takes approximately 4 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
