FENIX HM50R V2.0 - Rechargeable headlamp

Fenix HM50R V2.0 is the second generation of the popular rechargeable headlamp with up to 700 lumens of power, 115 meters range and red light. Either the RCR123A Li-ion battery (included in the package) or the CR123A disposable battery (limited to 130 lumens) can be used for power.

The RCR123A battery can be recharged via the USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The light source is a high-end Cree XP-G3 S4 LED with daylight tint (6000K). The control button on the side of the headlamp also incorporates an indicator LED which, when pressed, shows the battery charge status.

The headlamp is also equipped with a battery life extension function. With prolonged use, it gradually reduces power in small increments to achieve longer light duration.

The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof to IP68 standard up to 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. The Fenix HM50R V2.0 headlamp is an ideal companion for a variety of sports activities, trips to the outdoors and home and work.

All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- Turn the headlamp off to red light by pressing the button twice quickly.
- A switched on headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
While the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through in the order 30 - 130 - 400 - 700 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red - red flash (when switched on to red light) with short button presses. The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (only for white light).
Battery charge indication: After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If the light is red, the battery is charged to 20-50%. Red flashing indicates less than 20% of capacity remaining. The indication only works properly with rechargeable RCR123A / 16340 batteries.
Discharged Battery Warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to illuminate until the battery is completely depleted. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Lock the headlamp against unwanted switching on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp switched off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.

Charging
Remove the rubber cap of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB mains or car adapter (not included). The side button lights up red during charging and turns green when fully charged. After charging the flashlight, reseal the charging connector with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the lowest white mode and red modes will be available.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
Use only good quality batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage.
Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for a long time or if the batteries are already dead. Otherwise, some inferior batteries may damage the headlamp.
If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead - replace them.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a sponge dipped in alcohol.
