FENIX UC30 XP-L - Rechargeable flashlight

The second generation of the Fenix UC30 pocket rechargeable flashlight offers up to 1000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 253 meters. It achieves higher power and range by incorporating state-of-the-art Cree XP-L HI LEDs.

Included in the package is a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh that charges directly in the flashlight via the side USB connector. Alternatively, the flashlight can be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries. The UC30 flashlight has six different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high power and long life (up to 150 hours), including strobe flashes for emergency situations.

The flashlight is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are gradually discharging). There is also an indication of the battery charge status. This model is suitable for anyone looking for the best balance of size, price and performance.

All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
There may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery pack at the factory. Remove it from the battery pack before first use. To turn on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. To switch to flash mode, hold the side button for approximately 1 second. The control button can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock the button, press it again twice quickly.

Charging
Unclip the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug the included cable into the flashlight (micro-USB connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, or a USB adapter to the mains or car (not included). The side button lights up red during charging and turns green when fully charged. After charging the flashlight, reseal the charging connector thoroughly with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the 50 lumen mode will be available. Indication of battery charge status: after a short press of the button (the flashlight must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining. Low battery warning - the side button will start flashing red and the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest mode automatically.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, it will violate the warranty. If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the flashlight. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water. If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following:
- Batteries are almost dead - replace them or charge the battery.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a sponge dipped in alcohol.
- The end cap is loose - add lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
