FENIX PD40R V2.0 - Rechargeable LED flashlight

The Fenix PD40R V2.0 rechargeable flashlight offers great light output of up to 3000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 405 meters in a pocket size of less than 14 centimeters. Also included is a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh that charges directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector.

The Fenix PD40R V2.0 flashlight features five different light modes that are simply switched via a rotary ring on the head of the flashlight. On the lowest mode, it can shine for up to 88 hours, which is almost 4 days of continuous light. There are also strobe flashes for emergency situations.

The flashlight is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the batteries are slowly discharging). In addition, the flashlight is equipped with a battery charge indication next to the charging connector. The Fenix PD40R V2.0 flashlight impresses not only with its compact dimensions, but also with its truly extreme light output. The flashlight is particularly suitable for moving in rough terrain, search operations, tracking, daily carry and normal home use.

All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. To switch on, turn the control ring to the right. To change modes, turn the control ring (to increase power to the right, to decrease power to the left). The stroboscope is located in the far right position. To turn the lamp off, turn the ring to the leftmost position.
Intelligent overheating protection - if the temperature of the lamp rises above 65°C, it will automatically start to reduce the power in gradual steps, as soon as the temperature of the lamp drops below 65°C, the power will gradually increase again.
Battery charge indication - each time the lamp is switched on, the indicator LED next to the charging connector is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is 25-50% charged. Red blinking indicates less than 25% of the battery capacity is left.
Charging - Unsnap the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the indicator next to the charging connector lights up red. When fully charged, it will light up green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours (with a 2A power supply).
Discharged Battery Warning - the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest mode automatically and the indicator LED in the side button will start flashing red.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the head of the flashlight yourself, this will violate the warranty.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead, charge it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back of the flashlight is loose, tighten it.
