FENIX LD42 - LED flashlight

The Fenix LD42 flashlight, which is the successor to the popular LD41, delivers up to 1000 lumens (ANSI) of light from four AA pencil batteries. The light source is a state-of-the-art Cree XP-L HI diode. The battery arrangement gives the flashlight an ergonomic design and the handle fits precisely in the hand.

Operation via the rotary ring on the head of the flashlight is convenient and fast. The Fenix LD42 offers a total of five digitally controlled power modes to choose between maximum power and endurance (up to 130 hours). The flashlight is particularly suitable for off-road movement, surveillance and general home use.

All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
To turn on, turn the control ring to the right. To change modes, turn the control ring (to increase power to the right, to decrease power to the left). To turn the lamp off, turn the control ring to the leftmost position. Intelligent overheat protection - when the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the flashlight automatically reduces the power to 300 lumens, after cooling down the power increases again.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed part in the flashlight head yourself, it will break the warranty. Never use differently discharged batteries or batteries with different capacities. Always check thoroughly that the batteries are inserted into the holder with the correct polarity. Use only good quality pencil batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water. If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the batteries are almost dead - replace them. The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. The body of the flashlight is loose - tighten it.
