FENIX E30R - Rechargeable LED flashlight

The Fenix E30R Pocket Rechargeable Flashlight offers up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 203 meters. It is one of the most powerful flashlights on a single 18650 Li-ion battery. It is included (with a capacity of 3500 mAh) and recharges directly in the flashlight via a USB cable with a special magnetic connector. In an emergency, however, the flashlight can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries.

The E30R flashlight has six different lighting modes that allow you to choose between high power and long life (up to 70.5 hours), including strobe flashes for emergency situations. The flashlight is equipped with a battery charge indication and is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the battery is slowly discharging).

Thanks to the use of a unique super-thin collimator, the length of the flashlight has been reduced to just 9.9 centimeters. It is therefore suitable for everyday carry and can be recommended for a wide range of outdoor, sport, work and professional activities.

All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
To turn on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. The flashlight will always turn on in the lowest mode, you can switch other power levels at any time during operation by pressing the side button. To switch to flash mode, hold the side button for approximately 1 second. The control button can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button again twice quickly. You can also prevent unintentional switching on by loosening the head of the flashlight by about a quarter turn.
Overheating protection - due to the size of the flashlight and the huge power in 1600 lumens mode, the operation of the turbo mode is limited in time. After 60 seconds in 1600 lumen mode, the power is gradually reduced to 900 lumens within 30 seconds. If the lamp's internal temperature rises to 65°C, it will automatically begin to reduce power in gradual steps of 5% every 10 seconds until its temperature stabilizes or drops to 350 lumens. Once the temperature of the flashlight drops below 65°C, the output will automatically increase to the original level again.

Charging
Plug the charging cable into the USB connector of your computer, power bank, USB mains adapter or car. When the cable is connected, the indicator light on the cable will turn red. Attach the cable to the charging plate on the flashlight, it will attach itself with magnets. The indicator light on the cable will be red while charging, and will remain green when charging is complete. Charging of a fully discharged battery takes approximately 4 hours.
Indication of the battery charge status - when the flashlight is switched off, a short press of the side button activates the indication LED in the side button of the flashlight for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is 25-50% charged. Red blinking means less than 25% of battery capacity is left.
Discharged battery warning (functional only when using Li-ion 18650) - the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest mode automatically and the indicator LED in the button will start blinking red.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, it will violate the warranty. If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the flashlight. The manufacturer strongly discourages the use of 18650 Li-ion batteries without protective electronics. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight flashes, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it.
The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The head of the flashlight is loose, tighten it.
