The Fenix CL22R is a practical and portable rechargeable lantern, ideal for illuminating a variety of spaces such as rooms, tents, campsites, caravans, huts, boats or workbenches. It offers circular and bottom lighting functions with a range of up to 80 metres.

Control is provided by a rotary control with a centre button that allows both lighting modes to be combined to achieve up to 500 lumens. The light intensity can be infinitely adjusted between 5 and 200 lumens.

The lantern is equipped with a built-in Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is conveniently charged via the USB-C port. It offers a total of 12 lighting modes, including a 360° light with a temperature of 3000K, a 6500K bottom light that can be used as a handheld flashlight, and a red light that does not interfere with night vision. Plus, it includes coloured ambient lighting to add atmosphere to a garden party, for example.

The handy downlight saves energy and is suitable for situations where omnidirectional lighting is not necessary or when you need to reach a longer distance. The lantern is equipped with an extended runtime function - when used in higher modes for longer periods of time, it gradually reduces the power for a longer illumination time.

The lantern's shockproof and IP65-rated construction makes it suitable for use in adverse weather conditions such as rain. The top of the lantern has a hanging eye for easy hanging. Its compact dimensions and weight of 135 grams make it ideal for camping and hiking.

Using the Fenix CL22R
To turn on the omnidirectional light, turn the switch clockwise. Subsequently press the centre button to switch the flashlight to the low beam mode and another press to the combination mode. Turn counterclockwise to switch the torch off. When the torch is lit, turn the switch clockwise to steadily increase the brightness and turn it the other way to decrease the brightness. The flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last set white light mode.
To turn on the red light or colored ambient lighting, press the center button of the off flashlight for 0.5 seconds. The steady red light will turn on. Subsequent presses of the button switch to red flashing -> colors jumping -> colors morphing and another press again to steady red light. Holding the button for 0.5 seconds turns the flashlight off. The flashlight has a memory and will always turn on in the last running color mode.
The lantern is equipped with a battery life extension function. For prolonged use in the high modes of each mode, the lantern gradually reduces power to achieve a longer duration of illumination.
Battery charge indication - each time the lantern is switched on, the LED battery charge indicator is activated for 3 seconds. Four lit LEDs indicate the battery is over 80% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates the battery is less than 20% charged.

Charging the Fenix CL22R lantern
To charge the lantern, remove the rubber cap of the USB-C connector. Connect it to a computer, AC USB adapter or car USB adapter using the included USB cable. A standard mobile phone charger with USB-C connector or power bank can also be used to charge. During charging, the indicator LEDs flash to show the charging progress. When charging is complete, they remain lit.
The battery does not suffer from memory effect, so it can be recharged at any time and there is no need to wait until it is discharged. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours (depending on the strength of the charging source used).
The lantern can be used while charging, but the output is limited to a maximum of 100 lumens.
