Using the Fenix CL20R PRO
The battery may come with a protective cap from the factory. Remove it before first use.
Turning on/off and switching power modes - To turn on the flashlight in white light, hold the switch for 0.5 seconds; to activate color modes, quickly press the switch twice. To turn on the light ring, press the switch once and then again within 3 seconds. The individual lighting modes of the selected lighting mode are switched by pressing the switch. The flashlight turns off by holding the switch for 0.5 seconds.
Switching Lighting Modes - Sleep Timer Function: When the flashlight is in white light modes, quickly press the switch twice to activate the sleep timer function. The switch’s light ring will glow purple, and the flashlight will turn off automatically after 20 minutes. If the flashlight is in color modes or the color ring is active, double-pressing the switch toggles between these two lighting modes. If the color-changing mode is active, double-pressing the switch pauses the current color or resumes the color-changing sequence.
Smart Motion Sensor - When the flashlight is set to white light and the smart motion sensor is active, it will automatically turn on when motion is detected within a 1.5-meter range. It will turn off automatically after 60 seconds of no motion.
- Sensor activation - With the lantern off, hold the switch for 3 seconds. The ring will flash blue twice and the lantern will turn on in low white light mode. Indication: When the sensor is active, the switch ring glows blue.
- Deactivating the sensor - With the flashlight off , hold the switch for 3 seconds. The ring will flash blue eight times.
- The motion sensor is turned off by default.
- To save battery life, deactivate the sensor when you don’t need it.
- If the sensor is active, double-press the switch to temporarily activate delayed shutdown (the ring glows purple). Once complete, the flashlight automatically returns to sensor mode (the ring glows blue).
Memory for Last Set Mode - The flashlight has a memory and always turns on in the last set white light mode, with the exception of the highest mode. Instead, it turns on in the second-highest mode.
Battery Replacement - Pull the hanging loop on the bottom of the lantern and unscrew it clockwise to open the battery cover. Insert the battery according to the marked polarity, then screw the battery cover back on.

Charging
Lift the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight’s charging port. Once charging is complete, reseal the dust cover. The typical charging time is 2.5 hours. The lantern can be used in all modes while charging. During charging, the light ring on the switch flashes green counterclockwise. When fully charged, it lights up green. To extend battery life, we recommend charging the lantern when the charge level is between 50% and 25%. If the charge level drops below 25%, immediate charging is recommended. Do not connect the charging cable to the lantern when using AAA batteries.
Battery Status Indication - After each power-on, or when the switch is pressed while the lantern is off, the battery status is displayed on the switch’s light ring for 3 seconds. If the ring glows green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. A green flash indicates 50–85% capacity. If it glows red, it is charged to 25–50%. A red flash indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains. This feature is active only with the original Fenix ARB-LP1900 battery.
Intelligent Overheating Protection - When the flashlight is used for an extended period on high output mode, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the temperature reaches 50 °C or higher, the output automatically decreases by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 50 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below a set level, the ring around the switch will begin to flash red to remind you to recharge the battery.

Warning
Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation if the flashlight is placed in an enclosed and flammable environment, such as pockets and backpacks!
If the flashlight is flashing, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
