The thermal bag is designed for everyday carrying and storage of food. Food sealed in a thermal bag will retain its temperature longer - the thermal bag is designed to keep both hot and cold food. To keep the contents of the chamber cooler for longer, we recommend the use of refrigerated refills.
The thermal bag does NOT contain bisphenol A, PVC or other harmful substances. The excellent insulating properties of the thermal bags are achieved by IsoTec™ insulation. IsoTec™ uses a multi-layered insulation construction consisting of durable and very lightweight high density foam (6mm closed cell foam). This layer is sandwiched between a woven fabric outer layer and an inner seamless waterproof Flex-A-Guard™ layer.
The inner Flex-A-Guard™ layer is antibacterial and reduces mildew and unpleasant odors. The Flex-A-Guard™ layer is made of low density polyethylene (LDPE). LDPE is a health and environmentally safe material suitable for direct contact with food. LDPE films are used, for example, for food packaging.
The seamless (made of one solid piece) LDPE layer is washable and very resistant to tearing or breaking (6 times more resistant than the inner layers of soft foldable thermal bags - e.g. PEVA). The Flex-A-Guard™ layer is both rigid and flexible - the thermal bag is flexible and can be bent or folded, but it cannot be completely folded as in the case of thermal bags with an inner PEVA layer.
Element 5 combines the best features of soft folding thermal bags (flexibility, light weight) and thermoboxes (rigidity, durability, high insulation performance). The thermal bag is completed with a zippered pocket, a mesh pocket and an adjustable strap. On the top of the thermal bag there is a window for quick and easy access to the thermal bag.
