Simply attach it to the special handle at the top of the backpack, allowing you to stay close to your toddler when the situation calls for it (especially useful in large stores and gatherings of people, as well as when you have more than one child in your care).
The backpack also has a waterproof hood that is hidden in a special zippered pocket.
