The latest prototype was raced by our factory team rider Alan Hatherly. First he rode it to the World Champion title, and a week later he won a UCI World Cup race. The completely redesigned top-tier Advanced SL Composite carbon frame is 89 grams lighter than its predecessor and has a 7.95% higher stiffness-to-weight ratio (i.e. efficiency), which will help you especially on climbs. We manufacture Advanced SL frames in our own factory from the highest-quality raw materials, using the most advanced engineering and construction methods. Continuous Fiber Technology increases strength and minimises weight. Our low-latency concept was applied in the design of the new frame – a systematic approach to maximising the efficiency of the rider’s power. Every element of the frame is analysed and optimised to achieve a new level of stiffness and power transfer at minimal weight. In short: when you’re ready to put the power down, the Anthem responds instantly and with maximum efficiency.

Advanced Forged Composite Technology The rear suspension rocker link is made from a single piece of carbon composite. The essence of this advanced technology is multi-directional carbon fibre lay-up and an innovative manufacturing process that moulds under extremely high pressure. The result is lighter, while also stiffer and stronger, than the same part made from aluminium.
	Advanced SL Composite Technology Premium raw carbon is woven and moulded in our own carbon processing factory using the most advanced construction and engineering solutions, including Continuous Fiber technology for greater strength and lower weight, Carbon Nanotube resin technology for higher impact resistance, and the Fusion Process for lighter, stronger frame joints. Advanced SL Composite – the technology used by Giant’s professional racers in almost every cycling discipline.
Flexpoint Pro Suspension Technology FlexPoint Pro rear suspension with 100mm travel was designed for XC riding and racing, delivering high efficiency and sensitive handling. It is a linkage-driven single pivot – a proven solution that uses the flex of the rear triangle without a mechanical pivot and without a lower rocker link. To achieve low weight, the entire rear triangle, including the rocker link that mounts the shock, is made from carbon.
	OverDrive The oversized fork steerer is designed to increase stiffness in the front end of the frameset and steering for precise handling. It includes oversized headset bearings (lower 1 1/4" and upper 1 1/8" on road bikes, and lower 1 1/2" and upper 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and a tapered fork steerer to ensure optimal steering stiffness.
MegaDrive A massive rectangular down tube and oversized top tube form a unit that delivers outstanding lateral and torsional stiffness in the front area of the frame. The result is precise steering and accurate tracking. The carefully engineered rectangular down tube provides exceptional stiffness for both steering and pedalling.
	PowerCore A massively oversized bottom bracket and chainstay area features a fully integrated design with an 86.5mm-wide bottom bracket (92mm on MTB bikes). The asymmetric rear triangle provides greater stiffness on the drive side and improved stability on the non-drive side.
Wide Guard Technology When your wheel hits a sharp or square edge, especially at speed, pinch flats and rim damage can occur. Wide Guard technology minimises this risk by broadening the contact point between the rim and tyre with a solid 5mm rim sidewall. That means you can skip the heavy tyre inserts to have less unsprung weight on your bike and allow your suspension to perform better. The wide sidewalls also better protect your wheel from big impacts, reducing the possibility of rim damage.
	Giant Tubeless System Fewer punctures. Better tyre grip. Lower rolling resistance, a more comfortable and faster ride. With the Giant Tubeless System you can enjoy all these benefits. The rims come from the factory with tubeless tape and valves already installed – just add sealant and the wheels are fully ready for tubeless use.

Another key innovation is the completely new FlexPoint Pro suspension concept – the original layout with the shock along the seat tube has been replaced by a modern semi-integrated shock positioned under the top tube. This design – thanks to the use of a single carbon rocker link – reduces frame weight and also improves suspension performance: at maximum power there is no energy loss, while sensitivity to small bumps is not compromised. Another important benefit is that there is room in the frame for a second bottle cage. Along with the shock relocation, rear travel has also increased from 100 to 120mm, which, combined with a 120mm fork, lets you descend demanding trails faster and with greater confidence. And there is one more important innovation – a two-position flip chip system for easy geometry adjustment depending on terrain or your personal preferences.

The new generation Anthem also brings new components designed for maximum efficiency and instant response. The one-piece handlebar/stem combo increases compliance, reducing impacts and vibrations for better control and greater comfort for your hands. Combining the handlebar and stem into one unit also saves weight and simplifies the cockpit thanks to clean internal cable routing. All Anthem models are equipped with the combo bar – higher-end models have carbon bars, more affordable models aluminium. Width is always 780mm and stem length is 60–80mm depending on frame size. All models also feature new Giant wheelsets with a new generation 120-tooth helical ratchet drive for instant engagement, and robust 5mm rim sidewalls for greater protection against impacts and punctures. Depending on the model, the rims are either carbon or aluminium.
