  • Higher and higher and just keep going somewhere. Maybe the sun is burning the back of your neck and maybe you have to wipe the sweat off your body every now and then. But you can barely feel the Lowe Alpine AirZone Active on your back. It's pleasantly lightweight.

And the AirZone Lite back system, made up of stretched, anatomically shaped mesh, lets air flow freely between the pack and your body.

    1. Tack trekking poles outside, tuck a map or windbreaker into the front stretch pocket, and if an afternoon storm rolls in before you can make it back to the valley, pull the integrated rain cover over the pack.

  • Lowe Alpine is a manufacturer and supplier of outdoor equipment. The company was founded in Colorado and now operates internationally. The company is currently owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Holdings Ltd.

The brand was created by mountaineer Greg Lowe in 1967, brother and climbing partner of Jeff Lowe, a pioneer and proponent of the Alpine style of high mountain climbing. Greg Lowe produced an innovative internal frame backpack. Lowe Alpine's later innovations include the Advanced Paralux Sytem (APS) and, more recently, the TFX back system.
