FENIX HP12 - Headlamp

Fenix HP12 is an extremely powerful headlamp that offers a light output of up to 900 lumens and a range of 123 meters. The batteries are housed in a case on the back of the head and can be used with either two CR123A lithium batteries or one high capacity 18650 li-ion battery. The light source is a high-end Cree XM-L2 LED with an efficiency of up to 180 lumens per Watt.

Thanks to the precision design of the aluminium alloy body and battery case, the HP12 is shockproof against drops from up to 2 metres and also fully dustproof and waterproof to IP68 standard. A total of 5 power modes are available with up to 145 hours of battery life. The headlamp is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the batteries are slowly discharging).

The Fenix HP12 headlamp is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing, night running, cycling, fishing, caving and other activities. All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproof, range, and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Power Modes:
BURST 900 lumens (switches to previous light mode after 30s) -> 400 lumens (3.75 hours) -> 150 lumens (10.1 hours) -> 50 lumens (36 hours) -> 10 lumens (145 hours). Endurance times are measured with a rechargeable li-ion 18650 battery with a capacity of 3400mAh.

Use
Assemble the headlamp according to the pictures in the enclosed English manual. Unscrew the cap of the battery case and insert the batteries with the plus pole facing inwards. Switch the headlamp on by pressing the button, once it is switched on the light modes are switched again by pressing the button. Switching off is achieved by holding the button for half a second. After switching off, the headlamp remembers the last set light level (except BURST mode). To activate BURST mode, hold the button for 1.2 seconds (works even when the headlamp is switched off), after 30 seconds the headlamp returns to the previous power mode. Accidental switching on of the headlamp while transporting in luggage is easily prevented by loosening the battery case cover.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty. Use only good quality batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for a long time or if the batteries are already dead. Otherwise, some inferior batteries may damage the headlamp. If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the batteries are almost dead - replace them. The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it. The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
