FENIX BC30 - Cyclolight

  • Extremely powerful bike light Fenix BC30 delivers up to 1800 lumens (ANSI). A pair of 18650 rechargeable li-ion batteries or four disposable CR123A batteries can be used for power. The light source is two advanced Cree XM-L2 T6 LEDs with a warmer shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting colour rendering in the field.

The flashlight uses the proven "Dual Distance Beam System" light routing technology. The main cone of light is created by specially designed optics and reaches up to 170 metres, while a secondary wide beam cone completes the optical member, which is shaped at the top so that light directed upwards refracts down to the ground. This creates a cone that seamlessly illuminates the entire area in front of the bike - even in areas not covered by conventional bicycle lights.

The design of the holder allows for quick mounting and removal of the light on the handlebars without tools, and the holder also allows for quick removal of the light so it can be used as a high-performance handheld light. The holder can be used on all handlebar diameters from 22 to 35 millimetres. A total of six digitally controlled power modes are available, including a warning flash and low battery warning.

    Using the Bike Light
Fenix BC30 Flashlight is turned on by pressing the top button for 2 sec. Once the light is on, the light modes are switched with a short press of the button, the flash mode is activated with a quick double press of the button. Switching off is achieved by holding the button for two seconds, the flashlight remembers the last set light level (except flashing). There is a short time delay when switching from turbo mode to power saving mode to facilitate visual adaptation. When operating the flashlight in one of the lower modes, the highest mode of 1800 lumens can be activated by pressing and holding the cable switch. When the button is released, the flashlight returns to the previous set mode. Connect the cable switch with the connector to the socket on the underside of the torch. The socket is fitted with a rubber cap which should be removed before inserting the connector. Use the Velcro on the switch to secure it to the selected location on the handlebar. If the battery capacity drops below a safe limit (may vary depending on battery age and ambient temperature), the button backlight color will change from green to red. The flashlight will then automatically switch to lower power modes over time to ensure the longest possible battery life. In this case, we recommend replacing the batteries with charged ones as soon as possible to avoid turning off the protective electronics built into the batteries and thus turning off the light. Note: the low battery indicator is designed to function properly with 18650 batteries, it may not signal correctly when using disposable CR123A cells.
    Changing Batteries
Release the battery case by turning the locking tab, located on the back of the flashlight, to the left. Pull out the battery case. Insert the batteries according to the marked polarity. Slide the battery case back into the flashlight. Secure the case by turning the locking tab to the right.
    Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the flashlight yourself, this will void the warranty. If the power button is red and cannot be switched to high power modes, then the batteries are dead and need to be replaced. If the flashlight blinks or does not light up, it could be one of the following reasons The batteries are dead - replace them. The contacts on the connectors are dirty. Clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
