PIEPS iProbe BT, 260cm - Probe

The probe is capable of tracking all types of avalanche searchers operating at 457kHz using electronics. iProbe BT electronic probe is available in 220, 260 and 300cm lengths. The probe allows for very fast assembly due to its unique locking system and connection hub. iProbe BT is currently the fastest combination to find a buried person when combined with a search engine.

After tracking a buried person, it will automatically "interrupt" the transmission of the tracked PIEPS transmitter. By moving the probe away from the locator, the signal is reactivated. This feature is only possible with PIEPS finders and can be activated/deactivated using the PIEPS APP on your mobile phone. If another search engine is involved, the transmission of the found beep must be cancelled by the search engine using the MARK functions.

The probe is automatically switched on (off) by assembling (unfolding) it. The indication of the three LEDs gives visual reports on the progress of the search. In addition, the probe will announce a find within range with a high intermittent tone, which is the case when the victim's beeper is within 2m of the probe tip. If the probe comes within 50cm of the beeper after a finer search, it will announce the find with a diode and a continuous high-pitched tone. This speeds up the tracking of the buried person quite significantly, as the rescuer can advance over larger distances than with a conventional probe.
