The result is a jacket that's ideal for layering on a cold rock ledge while being highly breathable for high-energy activities that involve stopping.The Xenair Alpine Jacket is ready for any kind of climb, has a two-way zipper so you can wear it with a harness, and a helmet-compatible hood with a reinforced visor to protect your face from the elements. Adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs are compatible with gloves and help seal out gusts of wind. When you're going to have your hands up for long periods of time, the sleeves are articulated to keep the jacket from riding up, and handy hand and chest pockets are positioned to be easily accessible mid-ascent.The Xenair Alpine Jacket is made with Pertex® Quantum Air fabric that balances breathability and weather protection, and it's finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating so it thrives in winter conditions whether you're trying to reach the summit or sheltering on the summit.

The RAB story began in 1981 in the attic of a small terraced house in Sheffield, where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Rab's experience from his years in the mountains was evident in his designs, which he hand-stitched and devised with his own genius eye, and were soon in demand from both friends and the growing local mountaineering community.
But it didn't end there. Soon the word got out and the Sheffield loft became a factory floor, producing sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide.
