The development of Peaty's Rim Job rim tape was done by riders and mechanics as well as scientists.
The tape has high tensile strength, but thanks to its optimally tuned stretchability and adhesive layer, it adheres perfectly to the inner rim wall as if it were part of it. Do you usually have trouble finding a hole for the
valve? With Peaty's Rim Tape, you can forget about that complication. The transparency of the tape will guide you
always with confidence.
Instructions for installation:
1. After removing the rim, remove the old tape from the rim.
2. Clean the inside of the rim thoroughly with an alcohol-based degreaser.
3. Make sure the rim is dry and free of all debris before applying the tape.
4. Start approximately 10 cm from the valve hole and work your way towards it. Press the tape firmly
into the centre of the inner wall of the rim and smooth it towards the edges. Squeeze out any trapped air.
5. Proceed in the same way around the circumference of the rim, again with an overlap of about 10 cm beyond the valve opening.
6. Pierce the tape with a sharp point in the centre of the valve hole.
7. Install the MK2 valve.
8. Install the tubeless tire, filling it with Peaty's Tubeless Sealant.
Inflate the tire to a higher pressure than you are riding.
9. Shake the inflated tire thoroughly and let it rest.
