    UV radiation type C. This is the UV radiation with the highest energy content that could potentially be the most harmful to the eyes and skin. Fortunately, the atmospheric ozone layer screens out virtually all Type C UV radiation.

    B-type UV radiation. This type of radiation is partially screened out by the ozone layer, but some of it reaches the Earth's surface. UVB rays are responsible for skin burns and are a cause of skin cancer and eye problems such as cataracts. Extreme exposure to UVB rays can lead to serious eye damage (e.g., snow blindness).

    UV radiation type A. UVA rays have the longest wavelength and tan the skin, contributing to premature aging. This type of radiation has lower energy than type B radiation and penetrates deepest into the eye. However, there is no clear opinion on its harmfulness.
