The Silver Flash lenses are some of the darkest lenses on the Wiley X. The grey lenses are coated with multiple layers of Z-Oxide mirror to reduce glare overall, making them excellent on clear days. They absorb all colors equally and maintain the same color perception as without sunglasses

ANSI HIGH MASS IMPACT TEST - Heavy Body Impact Resistance Test

Wiley X glasses are tested and certified by ANSI(American National Standards Institute) for resistance to heavy body impact (High Mass Impact Test). Glasses with this certification are subjected to the impact of a 500 g heavy projectile dropped from a height of 127 cm. To be certified, the lens of the glasses must remain firmly seated in the frame of the glasses after the test and, like the frame, must remain undamaged. This test declares that with Wiley X glasses your eyesight will be perfectly protected in the event of a collision with falling objects such as pebbles, but also, for example, in the event of an airbag deployment in the event of a car accident.

Certified according to EN.166S, the glasses must withstand the impact of a 6 mm diameter steel ball weighing 0.86 g shot at 162 km/h. The unbroken lens shall remain firmly seated in the frame of the spectacles and the frame shall remain undamaged.

FULL RIM SYSTEM

Full Rim System frames encircle the entire lens (as opposed to Top Rim System frames, which are attached only to the top edge of the lens). Full Rim System frames are designed to accommodate dioptric lenses (RX Ready), and on some Wiley X models this type of frame is compatible with the FACIAL CAVITYTM SEALS removable sealing system. Frames are made of TriloidTM nylon fibers that are virtually indestructible. Some certified models have feet reinforced with double reinforcement. The Rim Protection System ensures that the lenses will not fall out of the frames even after a hard impact. The frames are U-shaped (U-Shape) so they fit perfectly on the face and do not form any bruises.

RUBBERIZED TEMPLES - Rubberized feet

Like the beams, the sides (feet) of Wiley X glasses are coated with a special rubber surface on selected models. This ensures that the sides adhere perfectly to the skin behind the ear and do not slip off the face even during demanding movements.

DOUBLE INJECTED TEMPLES - Double reinforcement

Some Wiley X models are ANSI (American National Standards Institute) certified for ballistic resistance. These extremely durable goggles have sides (feet) reinforced with double steel reinforcement.

BLACK OPS - Perfect concealment

Some Wiley X goggle models are marked with the "Black ops" symbol. This means that the entire goggle has no shiny material on it and the wearer cannot be betrayed by the glare of the sun's rays. This feature is especially appreciated by armed forces and tactical units.

SMART EDGE LENS TECHNOLOGY - Undistorted vision

With conventional optical lenses, light refraction often results in distortion of the relative size of the object, loss of clarity or decentralisation of the image. Wiley X lenses meet the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards for optical accuracy, and thorough testing has shown that Wiley X lenses do not distort optical clarity even for distant objects, do not increase the relative size of the perceived image, and maintain the spatial arrangement of objects, or do not decentralize objects in the field of view, as is often the case with conventional lenses.

ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT TEST - Bullet Resistance Test

Goggles certified to the ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT standard must withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel ball fired at 164.6 km/h. The unbroken lens must remain firmly seated in the frame of the goggle and the frame must remain intact.
