The result is a reflector lens that allows a beam of light to be focused with a smooth transition from a wide homogeneous circle of light to a sharp beam and vice versa. The focusing is done by simply moving the head of the flashlight forward (focus) or backward (defocus). LEDLENSER flashlights are the only ones in the world to use the principle of light refraction.
