In the heart of the American automotive industry, the Chevrolet Camaro saw the light of day. Originally designed as a so-called Pony Car, it was intended to appeal primarily to younger buyers. A compact, sporty and affordable vehicle. Success didn't wait long. Between 1966 and 1969, approximately 700,000 Camaros rolled off the production line with 12 different engine options. In 1969, the last first-generation Camaro was introduced, the Z28, still considered by experts to be one of the best. And it is the iconic design of the Camaro Z28 that Böker is building on to revive this legend. The result is more than just a knife. An attitude for life, a dignified road trip with the rumbling sound of a V8 engine on a seemingly endless highway, gentle rays of sunlight streaming through the canyon and warming the soul. Unforgettable moments without the mundanity of life - just like the exceptional Böker 1969 Z28-Damascus. In collaboration with Italian designer Tommaso Rumici, a unique knife was created that combines the distinctive character traits of the Camaro Z28 in terms of shape and strength. The elegant drop-point damascus blade, hand-forged by Chad Nichols with 80 layers in a Tread pattern, resembles the sloping induction hood of a car. It opens easily with a blue anodized thumb stud and the blade is securely locked in place by a linerlock-style lock. The aluminum handle in "Le Mans Blue" nostalgically interprets the lines of the body and comes with exciting details.
