The Alpine Mythic Jacket is designed for those who move fast and light. Saving grams wherever possible, it has a lightweight, low bulk, quilted construction that stabilizes down while allowing for excellent breathability. Squares around the core maximize warmth, while regular baffles on the sleeves improve mobility. The pre-bent and articulated sleeves were also designed to allow for easy arm lift, movement and articulation while climbing.To keep weight to a minimum, we used an ultra-lightweight 10D outer material that is 100% recycled. This Pertex® Quantum fabric with built-in ripstop is strong, durable, protects against the weather and feels comfortable to the touch. The jacket is snug and low bulk, layering easily under the shell and helping to wick moisture through your gear, making it ideal for moving at pace. The RAB story began in 1981 in the attic of a small terraced house in Sheffield, where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Rab's experience from his years in the mountains was evident in his designs, which he hand-stitched and devised with his own genius eye, and were soon in demand from both friends and the growing local mountaineering community.
But it didn't end there. Soon the word got out and the Sheffield loft became a factory floor, producing sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide.
