  • Rain, wind, some sun, fluctuating temperatures. A little bit of everything. The Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 jacket is made from Proflex™ triple-layer laminate, which is surprisingly soft and stretchy thanks to a combination of knit and membrane - considering it can withstand rain and snow.

The jacket's nylon reinforcements in particularly stressed areas give it a durable feel for mountain adventures. The adjustable hood works well with a helmet - as do the two higher-set harness pockets. And with a high vapour permeability of 35,000 g/m2/24h, you won't be reluctant to put on a sharp pace.

Softshell with hardshell properties, you might say. When you can't read the sky to see what's coming at you, it's essential to prepare for anything.

  • The RAB story began in 1981 in the attic of a small terraced house in Sheffield, where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Rab's experience from his years in the mountains was evident in his designs, which he hand-stitched and devised with his own genius eye, and were soon in demand from both friends and the growing local mountaineering community.

But it didn't end there. Soon the word got out and the Sheffield loft became a factory floor, producing sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide. Now, decades later, these honest and durable models can be found all over the world; wherever adventurers venture out to meet the elements. From Himalayan peaks to cool, breezy evenings around a campfire.
