  • Civilization disappears behind your back and the week-long adventure begins. The first climb is ahead. One of many on this no-man's-land expedition. In the two compartments of your Cerro Torre pack you carry everything you need - tent, sleeping bag, spare clothes and plenty of food. This will gradually diminish, but it's handy now at the start that you can increase the pack by 20 litres.</p

A small 10 litre pack, which you create by turning the canopy inside out, will also come in handy. And just like that - with some water and a fan - you can run up the side of the trail.

Both the pole and the ice axe are easy to attach to your pack. You can tuck water bottles into the side pockets and quickly access the rest of the gear inside via the large front zippered entry. So you're perfectly prepared. Now just step right out!
