Advanced outdoor trousers for warm climates and high activity. They have the same innovative gaiter feature as the Gaiter No. 1 pants, but here we've used a lighter fabric with superior ventilation. They're a lightweight, packable pant that's durable enough for long adventures in tough terrain. Thanks to the gaiters feature, you can adapt the pants to the conditions you're in. When the temperature rises, the bottom of the legs can be unzipped to give you a pair of shorts. The knee sections of the legs can be folded into gaiters and the drawstrings at the back of the knees can be used to adjust the width at the top, while the gaiters can be attached to the laces of the boots to hold them in place. In addition to the drawstrings, there are adjustment cords and eyelets for attaching straps or stirrups under shoes for added security. Zippers along the thighs provide additional ventilation. There are two roomy flap pockets and hand pockets on the legs and back pockets with buttoned flaps. The Gaiter No. 2 pants are made of durable, wind and water resistant G-1000 Lite Eco (recycled polyester and organic cotton) with G-1000 Eco material across the back, pockets, knees and on the gaiters. The fabric can be waxed with Greenland Wax for added weather protection, or the wax can be washed for a cooler garment with maximum ventilation. The fabric and details have been selected to minimise their environmental impact - for example, most of the leather details are made from leftover leather - and to allow for easy replacement of exposed parts after years of use. The trousers are part of the Fjällräven Numbers collection.
