FENIX BC35R - Rechargeable Cycle Light

The Fenix BC35R Rechargeable Bike Flashlight delivers up to 1800 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 146 meters. It is powered by an internal 5200 mAh / 3.7V Li-ion battery that charges via a micro USB connector directly in the flashlight. The light source is a modern Cree XHP50 LED with a warmer shade of light (neutral white).

The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting colour rendering in the field. The flashlight uses a specially shaped reflector that directs light only forward and to the sides, not upwards. The light cone is therefore sharply cut off from above and does not dazzle other drivers and pedestrians. The Fenix BC35R bike light is therefore particularly suitable for use on roads and cycle paths.

A wired switch can be used to turn the light on, off and switch between power modes. The new handlebar mount design features a lighter weight and faster installation without tools. The bracket allows for quick removal of the flashlight so it can also be used as a high-powered handheld light. The holder can be used on all handlebar diameters from 22 to 35 millimetres. In addition, the flashlight includes an anti-theft alarm.

A total of six digitally controlled power modes are available, including a warning flash. There is also an informative OLED display on the bike light that shows the battery charge status, the selected mode and the remaining light time. The Fenix BC35R bike light will provide you with quality illumination for night training sessions, regular commutes and endurance races. All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofing and range) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
The alarm function must first be activated: with the torch switched on, press and hold the "+" and "-" switches simultaneously for 1 second, switching the alarm function on or off is symbolised on the display. Whenswitching on/off the alarm function, make sure that the security key is inserted in the remote switch and the remote switch is connected to the lamp, otherwise the alarm function will not be activated/deactivated. Disable the alarm function before disconnecting the remote switch to prevent accidental activation of the alarm. If the alarm is accidentally activated, plug in the remote switch with the safety key to disable it. If the alarm function is activated by push buttons, then the alarm itself must be armed by removing the security key from the remote switch. After 3 seconds of removing the key, the alarm is disarmed and any movement of the cyclo lamp will activate the alarm at a volume of 100-110 dB. To turn off the alarm, plug the security key into the remote switch.
Note: If you have lost the security key, turn on the flashlight while pressing and holding the "+" and "-" switches for more than 15 seconds .

Charging
Remove the rubber cap of the micro USB connector on the bottom of the flashlight and plug it into a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter using the included USB cable. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector can be used for charging. Once plugged in, the flashlight will start charging. The display shows the battery charge status. The flashlight can be used while charging, only the lowest 50 lumens mode will be available. When fully charged, the button glows green, it does not flash. Charging time is approximately 3 hours, may vary depending on the strength of the charger used (2000 mA or more recommended). The Li-ion batteries used do not suffer from memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time.

Notice
Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the flashlight yourself, it will void the warranty. If the power button is red and cannot be switched to higher power modes, the battery is dead and needs to be charged. If the flashlight flashes or does not light up, then the battery is dead. Charge it.
