The trail version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II features the same tread pattern as the downhill version, a lighter single-layer cord casing to reduce weight. With side spikes borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened for more support.

The center tread features ramp spikes for improved acceleration and settling. Lever studs on the center tread dig in under hard braking to help keep the bike under control.
