  • The Tectal Race SPIN mountain bike helmet was inspired by the features of several award-winning POC road helmets with unibody shell construction, first introduced in the groundbreaking Octal road helmet.

    With the incorporation of the patented SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) silicone pad technology system, the helmet further builds on its innovative approach to design to deliver the highest levels of comfort and performance.

    Additional safety features include aramid reinforcements throughout the helmet shell and a reinforced EPS liner. The unibody shell construction promotes helmet integrity while ensuring light weight. Thanks to a great ventilation system, the Tectal Race SPIN helmet provides lightweight, reliable protection that keeps you cool when you're pushing your limits on the challenging trail.

    POC was founded in 2005 and first entered the market at ISPO, where it also presented its mission. POC's new ideas and solutions to improve the safety of ski racing by reducing the force transmitted to the brain and body in the event of an accident have received a lot of attention.

    The concepts, technologies and materials used and implemented for the helmets and pads were developed in close collaboration with the POC Lab; POC's scientific forum comprising the world's leading sports medicine experts, brain scientists and spinal cord injury specialists.
