Traditional knife with carbon steel handle. The blade (L. 3,5 cm) is made of XC90 steel. It contains approx. 0.90% carbon with perfect cutting properties. The knife is equipped with the Virobloc locking system- blocking the blade in open or closed position.
Sandvik 12C27 - OPINEL patented stainless steel is known for its easy maintenance. The carbon content of the steel is at least 0.40%, which allows for a very satisfactory cutting performance and is not susceptible to corrosion.
Beechwood handle is the most commonly used material for Opinel'a. The wood comes from France, beech is hard, durable. It changes from yellow to pink under the influence of sunlight.
