Wrap the strap around the tree, pull the strap through the buckle at the end of the strap, then pull the smaller adjustable length buckle through the hammock's aluminum buckle and the hammock is suspended. Thanks to its 2.5 m length, the hammock can be easily hung even around bulky trees.
