FENIX HP30R - Rechargeable LED headlamp

  • The FENIX HP30R rechargeable headlamp offers unmatched power up to 1750 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 202 meters. The excellent performance has been achieved by using a powerful Cree XM-L2 LED and a pair of Cree XP-G2 R5 LEDs with a warmer shade of light. The headlamp is equipped with a driving reflector and a pair of smaller reflectors with a wider cone of light (90°). The two reflectors are controlled separately and can be combined freely.

    The headlamp uses two 18650 2600 mAh Li-ion batteries for power, which are included and can be recharged directly in the battery case via the micro USB connector. The batteries are housed in a separate case on a long cable that can be placed on a belt, in a pocket or backpack. This increases wearing comfort and in winter the batteries are better protected against frost. The battery case is equipped with a battery capacity indicator and a USB output so you can also use it as a portable power source (powerbank) to charge your mobile phone or GPS navigation.

    The headlamp offers a total of 9 power modes including an SOS signal for use in emergency situations. In the lowest mode with 5 lumens, it provides excellent battery life of up to 400 hours (over 16 days). The headlamp is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the batteries are slowly discharging).

    HP30R is especially suitable for cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, night running, cycling, fishing, caving and other activities. The head of the headlamp is made of aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry. This ensures excellent cooling and resistance to damage. All headlamp parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

    Power Modes:
    High beam: 1000 lumens (4 hours)-> 400 lumens (6.5 hours)-> 130 lumens (21 hours)-> 30 lumens (83 hours)
    Wide beam: 750 lumens (4 hours) -> 400 lumens (6 hours) -> 130 lumens (23 hours) -> 5 lumens ( 400 hours) -> SOS signal 130 lumens (46 hours)

    Both the main and wide reflectors can be switched on simultaneously, and the modes can be combined freely for a total output of up to 1750 lumens.

    Material: aerospace-grade aluminum alloy
    Weight: 285 grams (including straps and stainless steel belt clip, without batteries)
    Headlamp dimensions: 7.7 cm x 5.2 cm x 3.4 cm
    Battery case dimensions: 11.5 cm x 5.6 cm x 3 cm
    Luminous flux: 1750 m
    Range: 202 m

    Use
    The two headlamps are operated independently. The right button controls the main reflector and the left button controls the wide cone reflector. To turn the selected reflector on or off, press the button for 0.5 seconds. The lighting modes are switched by pressing it briefly. SOS mode is activated by holding the left button for 1.2 seconds. After switching off, the headlamp remembers the last set light level (except SOS). Both headlamps can also be activated simultaneously. When the headlamp is in the basic unfolded position, the buttons are protected by a plastic protrusion against accidental switching (for example, when transported in luggage). After replacing the batteries, tighten the tightening screw on the battery case thoroughly to ensure good water resistance. Connect and disconnect the connectors in a circular motion, do not pull them apart by force. Press the button on the battery case to activate the battery capacity indicator (four lit LEDs 80-100%, three LEDs 60-80%, two LEDs 40-60%, one LED 20-40%, one flashing LED indicates less than 20% remaining battery capacity). To activate the USB output (power bank function), hold down the button on the battery case for 3 seconds. Activation of the USB output is indicated by flashing LEDs on the case.
    Charging
    Unclip the rubber cap of the micro USB connector on the side of the headlamp and plug it into a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter using the included USB cable. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a micro-USB connector can be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LEDs on the battery case flash, after a full charge they are permanently lit. Fully discharged batteries take approximately 8 hours to charge.
    Intelligent overheat protection
    If the headlamp head temperature rises above 65°C, it will automatically start to reduce power in gradual steps of 5% every 30 seconds until its temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the power will automatically increase to the original level again. Thus, operation at the highest power modes is not limited by time, but only by temperature.
    Warning
    Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty. Use only high quality 3V CR123A batteries and 18650 Li-ion batteries to avoid damaging the headlamp, for example due to battery leakage. If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons. Make sure the connector on the cable between the headlamp and the battery case is firmly connected. The contacts in the battery holder are dirty - clean them with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.
