FENIX HM60R - rechargeable headlamp

Fenix HM60R is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that offers up to 1200 lumens in the main reflector with a range of 116 meters. The second reflector with up to 350 lumens has a very wide and smooth light footprint with a neutral white shade.

The advantage of this shade is a more natural and contrasted colour rendering in the field. The control of the two LEDs is independent of each other, making the use of the headlamp very simple (the cones cannot be combined, however). The headlamp also has a red light with a power of 5 lumens.

The package also includes a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is charged directly in the headlamp via the USB-C connector. In addition, in 130 and 350 lumen modes, the headlamp offers a special feature in the remote reflector called "FREQUENCY SENSING", where it detects motion in these modes and can automatically adjust the power according to the running speed (frequency of steps) against the selected value.

It is therefore suitable for night running, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing, caving and work use. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimum cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 metres underwater.

All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
From the factory, there may be an insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
- Turn the headlamp off to the last used remote reflector mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- Turn the headlamp off to red light by pressing the button twice quickly.
- The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is switched on, the headlamp can be switched between the main and wide reflector by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. It is not possible to start both headlamps at the same time.
When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled between 30 - 130 - 350 - 1200 lumens (when the main headlamp is switched on) by briefly pressing the button. The torch has a memory for the remote reflector and will always switch on in the last set mode. For the wide reflector, it always starts at 5 lumens in the red light and the next button press switches the modes in the order 70 - 350 lumens and 5 lumen SOS signal.
Frequency Sensing - this feature automatically adjusts the power according to the running speed in the 130 and 350 lumen modes on the wide reflector. The standard headlamp lumen is set at 150 steps per minute. At lower speeds, the power itself will gradually decrease to 70% and at higher speeds, on the contrary, it will increase the power up to 150% of normal.
Battery charge indication: After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery charge indicator in the button will be activated. Green light indicates that the battery is 85-100% charged, flashing green light 50-85%, flashing red light 25-50%, flashing red light less than 25%.
Lock the headlamp against unwanted switching on. The button can also be locked electronically - with the headlamp switched off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the flashlight flashes red. To unlock, hold the button again for 3 seconds.
Overheat protection. Once the temperature drops below 55°C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Discharged Battery Warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the headlamp will continue to illuminate until the battery is completely depleted. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries only.

Charging
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp and the other end into a USB connector on your computer, USB AC adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. The side button glows red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging time for a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the headlamps can be recharged at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlamp.
Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not use it for a long time or if the batteries are already discharged. Otherwise, some inferior batteries may damage the headlamp.
If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost dead - charge or replace them.
- The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
