FENIX HM50R - rechargeable headlamp

The Fenix HM50R is a small high-performance rechargeable headlamp with an extended battery life function. Either the RCR123A Li-ion battery (included) or the disposable CR123A battery can be used for power. The RCR123A battery can be recharged via the micro USB connector directly in the headlamp. Despite its compact size, it offers an impressive luminous flux of up to 500 lumens and a range of up to 80 metres.

The light source is a high-end Cree XM-L2 U2 LED. The control button on the side of the headlamp also incorporates an indicator LED which, when pressed, shows the battery charge status. The headlamp is also equipped with an extended battery life function. For extended use in turbo (500 lumens), high (130 lumens) and medium (30 lumens) modes, the headlamp gradually reduces power in small increments to achieve longer light duration (see endurance chart).

The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof to IP6X8 standard up to 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight.

The Fenix HM50R headlamp is an ideal companion for a variety of sports activities, trips to the outdoors and home and work. All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproof, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Power Modes:
When powered by Li-ion RCR123A: 700 mAh : 500 lumens (2.5 hours) -> 130 lumens (10 hours) -> 30 lumens (24 hours) -> 4 lumens (90 hours).
When powered by CR123A: 500 lumens (2 hours) -> 130 lumens (14 hours) -> 30 lumens (48 hours) -> 4 lumens (128 hours)

Using
The headlamp is switched on by pressing the button for half a second, once switched on the light modes are switched with a short press of the button. Switching off is achieved by holding the button for half a second. Battery indication: after a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off) the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it glows blue, it is charged to 20-50%. Blue flashing indicates less than 20% battery capacity remaining. Charging. After charging the flashlight, reseal the charging connector with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the 30 lumen mode will be available. Intelligent overheat protection: if the temperature of the headlamp exceeds 65°C, it will automatically reduce the power.

Notice
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty. Use only high quality batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for a long time or if the batteries are already dead. Otherwise, some inferior batteries may damage the headlamp. If the headlamp flickers or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the batteries are almost dead - replace them. The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it. The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a sponge dipped in alcohol.
