FENIX HL50 - Headlamp

The Fenix HL50 is a small high-performance headlamp that offers a number of unique features. Either a 3V CR123A lithium battery can be used for power or, by screwing on the attachment (included), a regular AA pencil battery. Despite its compact size, it offers an impressive light output of up to 365 lumens in BURST mode and a range of up to 77 metres.

The light source is a high-end Cree XM-L2 T6 LED with a warmer shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting color rendition in nature. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IPX-8 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater.

The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. The Fenix HL50 headlamp is the ideal companion for a variety of sports activities, outdoor trips, and home and work. All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Power Modes:
When powered by CR123A battery: BURST 365 lumens (while holding button) -> 170 lumens (3 hours) -> 60 lumens (9.75 hours) -> 4 lumens (150 hours).
When powered by NiMH pencil battery: BURST 285 lumens (while holding button) -> 150 lumens (2 hours) -> 55 lumens (6.3 hours) -> 3 lumens (110 hours).

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty. Use only good quality batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for a long time or if the batteries are already dead. Otherwise, some inferior batteries may damage the headlamp. If the headlamp blinks or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the batteries are almost dead - replace them. The headlamp cap is loose - tighten it. The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a sponge soaked in alcohol.

Use
Assemble the headlamp according to the pictures in the enclosed English manual, paying particular attention to the correct use of the head strap, if assembled incorrectly the strap may loosen on its own. The headlamp is switched on by pressing the button, once switched on the light modes are switched again by pressing the button. Switching off is achieved by holding the button for half a second. To activate the BURST mode, hold the button for one second (works even when the headlamp is switched off). When the button is released, the headlamp returns to the previous power mode.
