FENIX HL16 - Headlamp

The lightweight, compact Fenix HL16 headlamp delivers up to 70 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 35 meters. Power is provided by a single AA pencil battery, which is placed inside the headlamp. It is equipped with a Cree XP-E2 R3 LED with a warmer light shade (neutral white), the advantage of this light shade is a more natural and contrasty color rendition in the field.

There are a total of 5 power modes, including two red safety light modes. The headlamp also has the advantage of good water and dust resistance to IP66 standard. The headlamp strap is equipped with reflective elements that ensure good omnidirectional visibility of the user in the dark.

The headlamp is certified according to US and European CPSIA and REACH standards, so it is verified as non-hazardous and safe for children under 12 years of age. The battery change cover is fitted with a safety screw that serves as a lock to prevent curious children from getting inside (older children and adults can leave it unscrewed).

Weighing just 55 grams, the durable design and materials used make the Fenix HL16 suitable not only for children, but also for anyone looking for a headlamp with good durability for hiking and camping. All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
The headlamp turns on and off by pressing the button for 0.5 seconds. Once switched on, the basic light modes (4 - 30 - 70 lumens) can be switched with a short press of a button. When switched off, the headlamp remembers the last set light level. A short press of the button switches the headlamp into red light mode, further presses of the button start the flashing or switch the red LEDs off again.
Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the headlamp rises above 65°C, it will automatically reduce the power output.

Changing batteries
1) Unscrew the safety screw with the included Allen screw.
2) Tilt the headlamp to its furthest position.
3) Open the back cover.
4) Place the battery in the headlamp, making sure to maintain the correct polarity.
5) Close the back cover.
6) Secure with screw.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty. Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for an extended period of time or if the batteries are already dead. This will prevent the batteries from draining and damaging the headlamp.
If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The batteries are almost dead - replace them.
The contacts in the battery holder are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
