FENIX SD20 - Diving LED flashlight

The Fenix SD20 Diving Flashlight offers up to 1000 lumens of white light and 105 lumens of red light that does not disturb aquatic animals. Thanks to its robust waterproof design, it can be used up to 100 metres underwater. There are a total of three light modes that are easily selected with one hand using the magnetic rotary ring at the head of the flashlight.

The light sources are the powerful Cree XM-L2 U2 LED and the red Cree XQE LED. Two 18650 Li-ion batteries or four disposable CR123A lithium batteries can be used to power the flashlight.

The flashlight also features battery charge indication and intelligent overheat protection. All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Controls
Turn the control ring to the desired position to turn on, off and select individual modes. Turning to the last position activates the battery indication: if the light is red, the batteries are sufficiently charged. If the red flashes slowly, the batteries are almost discharged and if the red flashes rapidly, the batteries are completely discharged. Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below 6.2 V, the flashlight automatically switches to 400 lumens, and if the voltage drops below 6 V, the flashlight will reduce the power to 100 lumens of white light or 25 lumens (when using the red light). Intelligent overheat protection - if the flashlight temperature rises above 65°C, it will automatically start to reduce the power in gradual steps of 5% every 30 seconds until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature of the lamp drops below 65°C, the power will automatically increase again to the original level. Operation at the highest power mode is thus not limited by time, but only by temperature.

Caution
Use only high-quality 3V CR123A batteries or rechargeable 18650 batteries to avoid damage to the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. Never use differently discharged batteries or batteries with different capacities. Insert the batteries with the positive pole facing the head of the flashlight. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to ensure full watertightness when used deep underwater. If the flashlight flashes, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the batteries are almost dead - replace them. The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. The back of the flashlight is loose, tighten it.
