FENIX RC05 - Rechargeable LED flashlight

Fenix RC05 is a rechargeable pocket flashlight that offers up to 300 lumens (ANSI) of light and a range of up to 90 meters. It is powered by a single rechargeable Li-ion 14500 battery that is recharged directly in the flashlight via a USB cable with a special magnetic connector, alternatively a disposable AA pencil battery can be used for power.

The flashlight's end cap is also magnetic so it can easily be attached to anything metal. The flashlight has five different lighting modes, allowing you to choose between high power and long lasting (up to 40 hours). The flashlight is powered by a digitally controlled constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharging).

Thanks to its small size and weight, the flashlight can be carried at all times. All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
There may be a black insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight at the factory. Remove it from the battery pack before first use. Hold the button for half a second to turn on and off. Additional button presses can be used to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold the side button for approximately 1 second. To lock the flashlight against unwanted lighting: press the button twice in quick succession, the flashlight will then flash twice. Another quick double-click unlocks the flashlight and turns it back on to the previously selected light mode.

Charging
Plug the charging cable into the USB connector of your computer, USB mains adapter or car. When the cable is plugged in, the green light on the cable will illuminate. Attach the cable to the charging plate on the flashlight, it will attach itself with magnets. The indicator light on the cable flashes green while charging, and stays green when charging is complete. Estimated charging time is about 1.5 hours. Low battery warning (only functional with Li-ion 14500) - the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest mode automatically and flash 3 times every five minutes.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed part in the flashlight head yourself, it will violate the warranty. If using a disposable and rechargeable AA battery, do not attempt to charge it in the flashlight. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water. If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons: the battery is almost dead - charge it or replace it. The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. The back of the flashlight is loose - tighten it.
