FENIX PD36R - rechargeable flashlight

The Fenix PD36R rechargeable tactical flashlight is the first Fenix flashlight to support power from the state-of-the-art 21700 Li-ion battery. It is equipped with the latest LUMINUS SST-40 LED and delivers up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 283 meters. Also included is a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a 5000 mAh capacity, which charges directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector.

The Fenix PD36R flashlight features six different light modes, allowing you to choose between high power and long lasting. On the lowest mode, it can shine for up to 115 hours, which is almost 5 days of continuous light. There are also strobe flashes for emergency situations.

The flashlight is powered by digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharging). In addition, the flashlight is equipped with a battery charge status indication in the side button.

The flashlight can also be mounted on a long gun using the Fenix ALG-01 gun rail mount, Fenix ALG-00 gun rail mount, magnetic mount.

The Fenix PD36R flashlight impresses not only with its compact dimensions but also with its really great light output. We can therefore recommend it for use in security forces, for hunting and other demanding activities. All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use
There may be a black insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery from the factory. Remove it from the battery pack before first use. Press the switch located on the end of the flashlight to turn it on, press the button for immediate activation. Press the side button at the head of the flashlight to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold down the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds.
Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the flashlight rises above 50°C, it will automatically start to reduce the power in gradual steps until it reaches 550 lumens. Operation on the highest mode is also limited to 15 minutes. After that, the flashlight will reduce the output to 900-550 lumens depending on the temperature.
Battery charge indication - each time the flashlight is switched on, the indicator LED in the side button of the flashlight is activated for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% of battery capacity remaining.

Charging
Unsnap the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, or a USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the side button lights up red. When fully charged, it will light up green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 4 hours. During charging, the flashlight can be used, but only in the 30 and 150 lumen light mode.
Warning of low battery - the flashlight will gradually switch automatically to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the side button will start flashing red.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, this will break the warranty.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The battery is dead, charge it.
The contacts inside the flashlight are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The head, body or back of the flashlight is loose, tighten them.
