FENIX FD65 - focusing LED flashlight

The extremely powerful Fenix FD65 compact focusing flashlight delivers an exceptional light output of up to 3800 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 410 meters. The light source is three high-performance Cree XHP35 HI diodes with a warmer shade of light (neutral white), their light is directed by special TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optics with adjustable light cone width (zoom function). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting colour rendering in the field.

The width of the cone is controlled by turning a ring on the barrel of the flashlight with stops in both extreme positions. On the narrowest setting the centre of the cone is approximately 10° wide, on the widest setting the cone is smooth with a total width of 90°. Despite the adjustable optics, the flashlight maintains full waterproofness according to IP68 standard up to a depth of two meters underwater.

Two buttons ergonomically placed on the side of the flashlight are used for control, which can be used to select from seven power modes (including strobe and SOS). A new control method allows you to turn the flashlight directly to either high (1200 lumens) or low (150 lumens) mode.

Despite its massive power output, the FD65 maintains a comfortable size and weight so it can be carried everywhere. Therefore, it will always be at hand when you need to illuminate large spaces. Use
The flashlight is operated by two buttons on the side. Holding the right button (H) for about half a second activates the 1200 lumen mode. Holding the left button (L) for half a second activates the 150 lumen mode. Then pressing the right button (H) increases the output and pressing the left button (L) decreases it. Holding one of the buttons for half a second turns the lamp off. The strobe can be switched on by holding down the right button (H) for 1.2 seconds. SOS mode is switched on by holding the left button for 1.2 seconds. Both flash modes can be switched off by briefly pressing one of the buttons.
The cone width is adjusted by turning the ring at the head of the flashlight. Turning counterclockwise narrows the cone, clockwise widens it.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - hold both buttons down for 2 seconds. The flashlight will then flash. To unlock, hold both buttons again for 2 seconds.
Overheat protection - when operating in turbo mode 3800 lumens after 3 minutes, or exceeding 65°C in any mode, the flashlight reduces power in small steps until the temperature drops.

Battery Low Warning
If the battery voltage drops below the preset level, the flashlight will automatically switch to the lowest mode and flash 3 times every 5 minutes.

Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the flashlight yourself, it will violate the warranty. Use only high quality 18650 batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water. If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following:
Batteries are almost dead - replace them.
Contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The back of the flashlight is loose, tighten it.
