FENIX E16 - flashlight

The Fenix E16 is a miniature pocket-sized LED flashlight with short-term extreme output of up to 700 lumens (ANSI). This model uses a Cree XP-L HI diode as the light source with a warmer shade of light. With a length of only 51 millimeters and a weight of 21 grams, it can be carried with you at all times - in your pocket, on your keys or in your purse. It can be powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery RCR123A, as well as a disposable CR123A battery.

The high quality of the design, durability and waterproofness are the main features. The flashlight is equipped with a removable two-way clip and the end cap is equipped with a magnet. A unique innovation is a special collimator that produces a light cone with a surprising range of 142 meters.

The collimator is made with technology used in the auto industry and its height is only 3 millimeters, less than half that of commonly used optics. Use
To turn on or off, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. To switch to flash mode, hold the side button for approximately 1 second.
The control button can be locked to prevent it from switching on spontaneously, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button again twice quickly. You can also prevent unintentional switching on by loosening the head of the flashlight by about a quarter turn.
Overheating protection - due to the miniature size of the flashlight and the huge output in the 700 lumens mode, the operation of the turbo mode is time-limited. After about 30 seconds the flashlight starts to reduce the power in small steps and after about 2 minutes it settles down to 250 lumens.
Discharged battery warning (functional only when using li-ion RCR123A) - the flashlight gradually switches automatically to the lowest mode and flashes 3 times every 5 minutes.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed part in the flashlight head yourself, it will break the warranty. Use only high quality 3V CR123A batteries and RCR123A Li-ion batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight, for example due to battery leakage. If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
The batteries are almost dead - replace them.
The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
