  • The mercury has retreated to the lower reaches of the thermometer, but that just confirms what you've known for a long time. At the first crunch of snow underfoot, you knew you were in for another freezing day. The feeling temperature is further precipitated by the icy wind. But even that doesn't cool your resolve for a big mountain hike. The Rab Blizzard Modular Mitt is doubly made for winter. Beneath the durable DWR-treated top layer, there's an inner glove filled with Stratus™ insulation that doesn't lose its warmth even in wet conditions. The pre-curved anatomical shape and goatskin palms give you a firm grip on your poles or ice axes. And the long cuffs, which you tighten with one hand, will guard your wrists from the wind and unwanted visits from cold snowflakes.

  • The RAB story began in 1981 in the attic of a small terraced house in Sheffield, where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Rab's experience from his years in the mountains was evident in his designs, which he hand-stitched and devised with his own genius eye, and were soon in demand from both friends and the growing local mountaineering community.

But it didn't end there. Soon the word got out and the Sheffield loft became a factory floor, producing sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide. Now, decades later, these honest and durable models can be found all over the world; wherever adventurers venture out to meet the elements. From Himalayan peaks to cool, breezy evenings around a campfire.
