More than 25 years ago, Smartwool invented the original Merino wool socks - Classic Hike. These socks have remained largely unchanged and are definitely the most comfortable. They're also now made from sustainably sourced, ZQ-certified wool. The breeding of the sheep providing this wool is done with an eye to ensuring environmental, social and economic sustainability, while at the same time emphasis is placed on taking the best possible care of the Merino sheep.
